ADMIN NOTE: I ask everyones forbearance please. Our little group here has really grown it seems by about 25% over the past month. So I would like to make a couple of reminders: 1) Please refer to clergy & monastics by either their title or Father. This is just ettiquette. 2) If you are clergy or a monastic & your FB name does not reflect this, please make an introduction thread so that we know & can refer to you properly. 3) Please refrain from political postings asking about how do we feel about some political event across the world. These types of discussions are seldom edifying & can get out of control extremely quickly. 4) The goal & purpose of this group is to extend knowledge about Eastern Orthodoxy in a basic beginner Orthodoxy 101 level. There are many good topics to ask or comment about or patristic texts to present for the rest of the group to enjoy or learn from. Lets leave politics outside where possible. 5) There are monastics both in the membership as well as over the group. Please remember that FB is not their full-time job. Please be patient as they have many, many other duties & other people that they are spiritually teaching & guiding as well. 6) Please be aware that your questions may be answered by nonmonastics & that there are laity (specifically chosen by the monks) serving as admins. Please remember that no one is perfect & we are all trying to do our best by everyone. If you question needs to be addressed specifically by a monk, then a lay admin will make an admin note/comment about that & in turn notify the monks with your question, comment or issue as soon as we are able. Again please be patient with both the admin as well as the monk. Finally, thank you to all of the membership for making this group a good place to frequent. There are many quality memes, quotes, citations, questions & comments that are being made. Your kindness & generosity is greatly appreciated. :)
