ADOPTED – SAMMY! Dearest Sammy, Nothing made our day more than the words from the people that braved the wind and rain and said “we’re here to meet Sammy”. It was so unexpected, because you have been waiting for such a long time that there was an instant spark of hope thinking today could be your day. As we walked you up to meet your new Family for the first time we knew that this could very well be the last walk we would have with you. You have been such a good boy; watching your buddies get adopted and waiting so patiently with the passing of the years. You have become an ambassador to our mission and a volunteer favorite. You have excelled at obedience and never let us give up on the hope of your Forever Home. It was so easy to watch you fall in love with this family; playing fetch, diving in the pool (even in the rain), and rolling over so willingly for a belly rub. You got to meet your new older sister (almost twin sister), and the deal was sealed. They resoundingly said “Sammy has found his Forever Home”. Auntie Kristin cried (but dont tell anyone), and she didn’t miss her chance to kiss your face one last time. Amid the rain, the cold, the gloom, the sun was shining so brightly in our hearts to watch you find the most amazing place to call home. Forever Home. Xoxo!
