ADOPTER BACKED OUT!!! JACKIE NOW HAS NO ONE TO SAVE HER. BRIDGEPORT ANIMAL SHELTER. Imagine for a moment that youre a kid, youre scared and very alone. Now imagine you are amongst other scared little kids and all of you just want to go home...wherever that may be. And everyday for 7 months you wait by the door hoping today will be the day you get picked to be loved... Instead, over time, you watch every other kid in the room get picked until youre the only one left in room... and now you will die. THIS is how to best describe Jackies life. Shes a very good girl who was never given a chance. Every one of her kennel mates was chosen except for her. Why? Well, its an all too familiar reason: people overlook wonderful dogs simply because they are over a year old. The older the dog, the less likely he/she is to be adopted. Its crazy but I swear she knows she is unwanted by anyone----she just lays on the cold concrete floor of her kennel and keeps her head down in the direction of the entrance as having lost that last bit of hope to which she was desperately clinging----- I will pay all of her adoption/in-state spay fees which includes her starter shots. This means it is FREE for you to adopt Jackie. She is in fine health and just needs a loving home with no small dogs or cats. She is a beautiful and sweet, fairly calm girl once she gets her initial energy out. She loves walks or just laying at your feet. She responds extremely well to commands and desires structure and guidance. Shes a German Shepherd mix, around 4-5 years old and believed to be house trained.
