ADV #7: VONGFONG NOW A TYPHOON ***New developments*** Latest track brings TY Vongfong closer to Guam with a track now just south of Rota on Monday morning. This brings typhoon-force winds to near Guam-along or just north of Ritidian Point. Tropical storm force winds are still expected from Guam to Saipan...however...this latest track shows strong tropical storm force winds over all of Guam on Monday. Vongfong still has some distance to travel and over the next 24 to 36 hours we can expect to see additional adjustment in the forecast track and timing of this typhoon.
