ADVANCED ECONOMICS I saw a groundnut seller just a stone haul away from a gas station this afternoon I know what the gas meter reads about the price of gasolene per litre... ...but I needed to check with the industrious woman what a 1 litre bottle of groundnut now goes for! She said N400! N400? Thats much more expensive than a gallon of gasolene And there is the bit about Return On Investment, who the hell bewitched Nigerians to put all their eggs in the Niger Delta swamp? Partly because the groundnut pyramids disappeared, a bottle now hits N400 on the road... ...the groundnut seedlings and the farmlands didnt disappear, at least! Is there a relationship between Boko Haram and groundnut price that is at least, scientific? I think there is; ...when the inhabitants of a land (northern nigeria) are not at peace...the land would sense the trouble and underperform in the light of fright ...and when you sprinkle the blood of the innocent on the land as water...no amount of fertilizer can alter that lands abuse Spiky drops in oil prices are not tantamount to market prices or political machinations as experts say... ...prices drop to record lows so that economies which cook evil on the back of oil can be prostrate for a while Economies and people who drive oil to the brink of evil! For the acutely learned, no amount of structural adjustments, constructive policy fundaments and forward thinking would save the world... ...would save this world When you realize that the salvation of the world, at least in the realms of economics is as familiar as what we hold self-evident in scriptures, you would know that the world is in trouble... ...that salvation lies in LOVE You see the trouble? How can there be love when crude oil is in question? The Nigerian problem...like the worlds problem... ...is a problem of LOVE Would a professor in any school of economics even give this a chance? Not necessarily... ...the college of the future would be metaphysical, overly spiritual and almost heavenly ...because the coming future would throw up challenges, challenges whose solutions approaches and hints are not recorded in any texts in any library [Phd Economics is not even recognized in Venus much less Jupiter] ...
