ADVICE ADVICE ADVICE BUSINESS SUPPORT: As I have been made aware many of you, including myself are struggling with your pages due to Facebooks relentless attack on small businesses. Dont give up, just yet! There are still many avenues for you to discover, I myself have been adjusting to the way business has been changing, it seems even when I paid for advertising with Facebook it did me little good and now its time to evolve my business so that I am not completely reliant on Facebook. At the rate its going with MR FB, Patchwork Paradise would be forced to close, so now its time to think forward for all of us. Is your business taken a turn for the worse. Here are some super helpful information, to help you get your business back on track: 1) Creating a website (gives you a official front for your page), its something that you can point people towards. After all how many of you get asked regularly whether you have one. You can do this using a super simple low cost website calledTictail (so simple to use). 2) Something I know many of us struggle with is the thought of going on to Ebay with their relentless fees!!! However, Ebay is a super huge shop!! that may be just the ticket to getting your name out their. I myself started on Ebay but now choosing to move back into this arena, great for advertising and business. 3) Etsy/Folksy - Whilst these platforms are great, choose wisely which you want to go on. You may wish to do both but if you choose to do the one look at things like customer base. 4) Local Buy/Swap/Sell Groups, there are 100s of pages you can advertise your Facebook shop. Getting your name out their is always hard but locals love to support home grown businesses in their areas. 5) Advertise!! This is of course going to cost money, but you truly have to spend money to make money in this world. I myself will be looking to branch out into Magazines etc. Think of the audience you wish to target and how your going to reach them. Place yourself in the Yellow pages (FREE), Gumtree (Free) Local Stores (Tescos Etc), Craft Fairs, Newspapers! This is so important. Its never good enough to jjust make a website and expect people to use it. People dont really want to change, so if your customers were discovered on facebook, its very likely they will only truly want to continue shopping with you on Facebook. However you want to reach new customers. So platforms are amazing for this. 6) Finally, if you have a massive load of stock to shift. Get auctioning it off on your page. This always brings in customers, especially if its a stunning well put together product. Im sure their are many other ways!! To help get your business back on track, so please dont give up! Try to evolve your business into the success you want it to be. xxxxx
