ADVICE NEEDED for Special Aunt & Family #psnm00749 I have question Id like posted. My nephew is autistic, hes always been a very sweet & loving child but has a habit of headbutting if he gets frustrated. He now has a little sister & when we went to visit my family over the holiday my 2 year old daughter was fiddling with his sisters car seat, that upset him & he shoved her down. Hes 5 times her size easily & I was obviously upset so I did as we always do & made him look at me & told him to never hurt her again. He got annoyed at me & screeched at me but I could tell he understood what hed done wrong. The next day he was lining up his toys on the couch & my 2 year old climbed up on the couch & he grabbed her hands & yanked her onto the floor leaving a mark on her cheek. I didnt see it happen but his mom (my sister in law) & my husband did, she didnt speak to him at all, she pretended shed fallen & hed just not tried to catch her. If it was my brother I wouldve spoken to him about it but this is my sister in law & I dont know what to do. Hes getting bigger & more violent. Hes 8 now & almost my size already. My children are small, my 4 year old just now hit 40 lbs & my w year old is a little over 20lbs. My 1 year old is a bit smaller than My 2 year old. It scares me that he could hurt them, my 4 year old is defenseless, she cant even sit up by herself. I dont know how to talk to his parents, I want to get mad at them because he hurt my child & nothing was done but dont know if I should. Im very lost here. Any ideas? **Remember please share helpful, supportive, respectful and kind advice.
