ADVICE NEEDED for Special Mom post# L0026 Could you please ask a question for me? My son has classic autism and was diagnosed as severe before he was three. My daughter was just diagnosed as having very mild autism. I am conflicted because no one seems to agree other than my husband. She is very different than my son. She has eye contact, never had a speech delay, most of her skills are advanced, is very connected to ME and is very social. Yet, she has a hard time following a point, has extreme separation anxiety, SPD, language processing (mild) difficulties, self-injurious behavior, she scripts, and has social anxiety. Does this sound similar to anyone? Did ASD present very differently in your ASD kids?
