ADVICE NEEDED for Special Mom #psnm00442 Hello. I am the mother of 2 children daughter 9 and son 7. Both are delayed and have Micocephaly. They have not been diagnosed with anything else. I need some advice about my daughter, who is about to embark on a pretty big surgery. She is having her tendon lengthened in her left foot. She has been a toe walker her whole life. We tried braces / AFOs and botox. This is out last option. Her surgery is Thursday at Childrens Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. Ok heres the problem, she is DEATHLY afraid of doctors, hospitals, nurses all of it! She knows when we are on our way down to Childrens ( 3 hour drive) that we are going there. We have tried to give her different meds to relax her, but nothing is seeming to help. Im just wondering if there are other moms out there who have gone through this with their children. Thought of different ways to comfort her, and to try not to make it SOOOO terribly stressful for her Thank you!
