ADVICE TO UMUEJECHI YOUTHS AND OTHERS 22/8/13 I have read several posts on Umuejechi Youth and the hint is that Election is around the corner. The heat is on and this is natural. But some undertones indicate serious problems may be in the offing. For this I write this advice and hope it does not amount to interference by any means. I started getting interested in Ejechi Youth when Abule Chukwuma Nkwazema vied for the Chairmanship and late Eze Jonas Agumanu interfered illegally in that Option A4. I made several hours making contacts to insist that Eze Jonas had no RIGHT to interfere. You can ask Nda Sam, Snr. Eto, Oha Mark, Chikwas, Obashi Okoro (who was made interim Chairman and his Secretary) and Lawrence Nzuruike. I strongly advised them then to resist that illegality and if need be go to Court. I wanted them to follow DUE PROCESS AND RULE OF LAW and their OWN Constitution. To cut it short, Obashi and his team came in and I advised them to resolve the Constitution issue, if any, and do election quickly and handover and never be involved in LAND deals. I gave them some relevant documents. We all know the history of that regime. Typically, our problems, and that of Nigeria, center in not following Constitution and DUE PROCESSES. This is what killed NTU and affected Umuohiadagu for which I went to Court against Chidi Uneze’s NTU regime and Moses Oguoma’s attempt to be imposed on Umuohiadagu. What does all this boil down to? Please where there is legitimate CONSTITUTION, not illegal one (as we have NEKEDE ANCIENT KINGDOM CONSTITUTION and trying to use it to run NEKEDE AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY GAZETTED BY IMSG) please follow/obey your CONSTITUTION. If not perfect now (and none can be) follow the processes of amendment after this Election. It is late to do any amendment NOW. Note we all cannot be officers at the same time and same positions eg. Chairman, but we can insist to get the “BEST” available candidates and as members insist that our organizations run properly and execute laudable programs for the Good of the Majority, while considering the inputs of minority to shape policies. I am sure if Ejechi Youth, and other organizations, will follow this simple advice, we can run our organizations better. This is why I have continued to preach that we get our Leadership/Governance processes right, for all other things are positively or negatively affected by it. God stated that their leaders have led them astray and that when the wicked rule, the people cry but when the righteous do, the people rejoice. We have Freedom to make our Constitutions or amend them but once done, let us obey them and not allow others mislead us. In the civilized World of this Era, Democracy and Rule of Law and Order must be our watchword. For those who thrive on impositions and unlawful acts, please let them discard them for the sake of PEACE, UNITY AND PROGRESS. I am PROUD OF YOUTHS of today for you are better educated and have greater opportunities. Please show others the LIGHT. Learn from the past – NO KILLING, NO FIRE OR BURNING OF HOUSES ETC.
