AFCEA is an awesome place to work!! My co-workers held a great Coast Guard Birthday party this afternoon, complete with cake, and listening to me singing SEMPER PARATUS! The boss, LtGen Bob Shea, USMC Ret, brought in his ceremonial Samurai Sword, so I can cut the cake. People were a little nervous with me swinging that thing around! Although the cake was a picture of a beach umbrella (that was the closest to something sea looking they could find) nonetheless it was tasty ... and above all, its the thought that counts. Oh ... and by the way - The Coast Guard Flag is proudly flying on one of the flagpoles at the entrance to our parking lot. The flag will be up for the entire month of August. So ... at AFCEA, its Coast Guard Month in August! We also honor all of our services birthday in this manner too! AFCEA Rocks!!!! Thanks all for celebrating this special day with me!! SEMPER PARATUS!
