AFFIRMATIVE REPOSITIONING MASS ACTION – CALL FOR 2000 LAND - TopicsExpress

AFFIRMATIVE REPOSITIONING MASS ACTION – CALL FOR 2000 LAND APPLICATIONS Thursday, 13 November 2014 Since we took the only option left towards addressing the issue of land – an act of Affirmative Repositioning – in an elite area of Klein Kuppe, there has been gigantic responses to our simple act. Indeed, the nation was vibrating and still vibrating. Few want our heads; many want to stand with us. We are very clear; the land issue must be addressed and we are willing to go all lengths to ensure that this issue is addressed. We love this country and this is our demonstration of that love; to force solutions to the land question by imploring radical methods, a language that the elite will understand. Since we unleashed Affirmative Repositioning, we held several meetings with all types of individuals; young and old. In all these engagements, the discussion on the way forward and the solution was central. Our objective is to have a solution. As we move towards that goal, there are several steps to be taken of which Mass Action is one, necessitated by the excuse that the landless must follow proper procedures (procedures that we are convinced don’t work). As such, we are calling all the landless Namibians to come together for a Mass Action submitting their application to the City of Windhoek giving the municipality only few months to respond favourably to our land demands failure to which it will be clear that the municipality is unable and unwilling to assist the landless through established methods. The landless masses will thereafter find that the only method available is Affirmative Repositioning starting with the rich and affluent suburbs (Kleine Kuppe, Avis, Eros, Ausblick, Kleine Windhoek etc) and all available land later. The date for submission of these 2000 Land Application is as follows; Date: Friday, 21 November 2014 Place: City of Windhoek offices Time: 11h00 We target 2000 (it can be more) applications to be submitted on the same day, same time and same place. We are not following these so-called “formal procedures” because we have faith in their systems but on the virtue of ‘Benefit of Doubt’ and to demonstrate that this issue of land is beyond and above individuals. The City of Windhoek will be given until the 31 July 2015, exactly 8 months, to favourably respond to all these applications or risk massively organised Affirmative Repositioning. These letters also includes applications that have been sitting in the bureaucracy of the city. Below is the content of the letter. You must write the letter as follows; ……………………………………… …………………………………………………………………… P O Box 4619 Windhoek Mr. Niilo Taapopi Chief Executive Officer City of Windhoek Windhoek Dear Mr. Taapopi Re: Application for Land for Housing purposes I am aware that the issue of the land is very well known by your office. I am also aware that you do know the cries of the residents of the city. Indeed, we also know that attempts made to address this issue. I am of the view that your good office is also trying its level best to address this issue. I am writing this letter to apply for land for residential purposes. I am hopeful that the city will consider my application favourably. I hope that your good office will be kind and provide a response before or on 31 July 2015. I hope you will find the above in order. Yours Sincerely (……………………) Windhoek Resident ……………………………………… ……………………………………………………… Frantz Fanon told us that each generation must discover its mission to fulfil it or betray it. We are landless and we want land in our country. By July 31 2015, we will not be held responsible for what the landless in general and youth in particular will choose to do in addressing the land question, which is Affirmative Repositioning. Share with friends. Each one must ensure that 10 of your friends have written the letter and will submit next week Friday. With all those application in the system, we will then all fight from that point. INFORM OTHERS, HELP THEM WRITE LETTERS.
