AFI | AACTA FEATURE FILM PRE-SELECTION ENTRIES – CLOSING TOMORROW The search is on for Australias most outstanding screen practitioners and productions, with the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) calling for entries and jurors for the 4th AACTA Awards. Entries in the Feature Film Pre-Selection category close tomorrow, Wednesday 11 June 2014. SUBMIT YOUR FILM NOW: aacta.org/the-awards/4th-aacta-awards.aspx Feature Film Pre-Selection Entry – an extension of eligibility In keeping with the Australian Academys aims of recognising and responding to developments in the screen sector, the eligibility criteria for the Feature Film Pre-Selection category has been broadened to include Feature Films that may not have had a traditional cinema release. Feature Films that have been released on a range of VOD platforms, for public retail sale on DVD and had at least one festival or event screening in at least three Australian states are also eligible to enter the Pre-Selection stream, alongside films which have had a 2-4 Capital City Release. Many AACTA Award entrants are already members, and by requesting membership for a defined number of core creatives attached to any submission our membership will continue to remain diverse and ensure that voting is weighted fairly across all crafts and categories. The 4th AACTA Awards will be held in January 2015 in Sydney and are proudly supported by the NSW Government, through its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW. The Australian Academy will call for entries in the Documentary and Television categories in the coming weeks.
