AFRICA-From the coup of 1952(Egypt),the military has strived painfully to portray the aura of purity and messiahism.The military has tried to present itself in a mould as dedicated men who had come to redeem their society from collapse and imminent ruin in the hands of political brigands parading themselves as politicians.However,years of military rule has provided a contrary in most of these countries.The mission to save the continent has turned out to be one of destruction as the society get bogged down vicious circles of coups and counter-coups,violence and programmed annihilation.Under military regime,corruption,intolerance,vice,civil strife,ethnic and religious confrontation has obstructed the desire of many African nations to make upward movement in the area of political pragmatism and conjectural effectiveness.
