AFTER A TWO-AND-A-HALF-HOUR MEETING WITH BISHOP PABILLO, VP BINAY WAS MUM ABOUT WHAT TRANSPIRED AND DID NOT ALLOW ANY INTERVIEW... THE GOOD BISHOP MUST HAVE CONFRONTED BINAY WITH THE TRUTH... LIKE THE RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION THAT JESUS SHOWED UPON SEEING THE CORRUPT MERCHANTS MAKING THE TEMPLE AS A DEN OF THIEVES, HE MUST HAVE INDIGNANTLY ADVISED BINAY TO FACE THE SENATE PROBE AND ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS VIS-À-VIS HIS ALLEGED HIDDEN WEALTH... BUT GREEDY AS BINAY HAS BEEN FOR POWER AND FOR THE PRESIDENCY IN 2016, BINAY CANT JUST DO THE RIGHT THING... MAY GODs MIRACLE HAPPEN TO SAVE BINAY FROM HIMSELF... *********************************************** VP Binay grants no interview after meeting with bishop November 4, 2014 4:52pm VP Binay at CBCP for a meeting with prelates. Wearing a Boy Scout uniform, embattled Vice President Jejomar Binay hurriedly alights from an SUV but did not face the media upon arriving at the Residencia del Arzobispado in Intramuros, Manila on Tuesday, November 4, for a dialogue with the Catholic Bishops conference of the Philippines. Danny Pata After an almost three-hour meeting with the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines, Vice President Jejomar Binay left the office of the Archdiocese of Manila Tuesday afternoon without granting any interviews. Binays staff said the Vice President did not want to be interviewed after the meeting despite an assurance earlier in the day that he would answer reporters questions. Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo, chairman of the CBCP Committee on Public Affairs, also did not want to give interview, according to his staff. The meeting between Binay and Pabillo was held behind closed doors. A source said aside from the two, only a few nuns were inside the meeting room. The meeting was supposed to be a venue for Binay to give his side as regards the allegations of corruption hurled against him and his family. Pabillo earlier said that the door was open for the Vice President and others to give their side of the story after meeting with the seven whistleblowers, who have accused Binay of graft. Included in that meeting held last month were former Makati Vice Mayor Ernesto Mercado, lawyer Renato Bondal, Nicholas Enciso VI, and Jose Orillaza, former president of Omni Security Services which was allegedly corporation owned by Binay. —Amita O.
