AFTERMATH OF THE DELTA PDP GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARIES....VICTOR OCHIE THE REAL STRONGMAN.......IBORI, UDUAGHAN AND TOMPOLO SAVED OKOWA......OKOWA DIDNT WIN ANIOMA VOTES.................. By Ejiro Imuere The Delta PDP primaries have been concluded with Okowa as the undisputed victor......However a careful analysis of the figures shows VICTOR OCHIE as the real Hero of the Primaries........The results scored by each of the candidates are given below.................. OKOWA...........406 Edevbie..........299 Oshie................185 Elumelu.............50 Orubebe...........49 Obielum...........22 Omo agege.......10 All other Delta North candidates, Tony Obuh,Monye, Sam Obi, Olejeme, Okunbor, Emetulu e.t.c................47 Gbagi....................2 Total votes........1075 As you can see from the figures above....the total votes cast is 1075....divide this figure by 25LGA...you an average of 43 PER LG........Consequently Delta North with 9 LG....will have 9 times 43 delegates which is about 387..... Delta central had .........43 times 8 which is 344 delegates, and Delta south 344 also....... IN DEPTH ANALYSIS Most of the Delegates voted along Ethnic lines, except The Delta South Delegates of Isoko, and Itsekiri, which did not field any Candidate.....The Ijaws also had Orubebe as a Candidate but it is like he won landslide only in one Local govt....probably he got all the votes of all the delegates in his local Government. It is interesting to note that Delta North who felt it was their turn, fielded a whole 14 candidates, who refused to step down even in times of crisis for only one........ .... and it would have been a disaster for them if they had not been helped by the Delta south Delegates............ So Victor Ochie.....pooled 185 Votes singularly most probably from Delta North.......Divide this figure by 43, it means he won in 4 and a half local govts probably from Delta North...........then followed by Elumelu who pooled 50 votes......which corresponds to votes of only one local govt probably his own......then Obielum.....scored 22 votes which is equal to half......most probably half the delegates of his LGA............So add 4 and a half of Ochie plus half of obielum plus one LG of Elemelu, you have SIX LOCAL GOVT OF DELTA NORTH LOST ALREADY DUE TO INTERNAL DIVISION............. Then the rest Delta North Delegates, i.e the Tony obuhs,Emetulu,olejeme pooled a total of 47 votes.....this is yet another votes equal to a full local Govt....making it 7 LG votes lost by okowa because of internal division Thus as you can see Okowa actually won IN ONLY 2 LG IN DELTA NORTH......Because if their Delegates is 387......and Ochie, Elumelu, obielum and the others scored....a total of 304, it means OKOWA POOLED 387-304=83 votes.....he pooled only 83 votes from Delta North. DELTA CENTRAL THE UPU were able to put their house in order and their delegates very patriotic to the Urhobo cause clearly voted along Tribal lines, but jettisoned ethnicity as different Urhobo ethnic groups chose David Edevbie.........they were suppose to have 343 delegates.....and Edevbie pooled 299 votes.....it means 44 Urhobo delegates voted against him.......This corresponds to a vote of one Full LG........and I am Suspecting either Ethiope West OR Sapele.......Ethiope west due to iboris influence probably.....but it is evident one urhobo LG betrayed the Urhobos......so the Urhobos may have given okowa 44 votes. add it to the 83 from Delta North makes it 127 Subtract this from the 406 he pooled you have........279 votes which he pooled from Delta South....... DELTA SOUTH. This were the guys that actually delivered OKOWA......The INCUMBENT GOVERNOR UDUAGHAN IS FROM HERE and he led the itsekiri people......they fielded no candidate......... They also had an average of 343 delegates of which Orubebe an Ijaw man took 49.......corresponding to only one local govt probably of his own.....remove this from 343........you have...........294 votes which belong to the the other Ijaws, itsekiri and Isokos who fielded no candidate......subtract this.....294.... So as you can see OKOWA won mainly with votes from Itsekiri and Ijaw and Isoko from Delta south led by the Incumbent UDUAGHAN......he also got some Urhobo votes due to iboris Influence, but won only two LG in his own Delta North . Thus VICTOR OCHIE IS THE HERO of this primaries as far as i am concerned because on his own he won about 4 and a half LG......OKOWA as YOU CAN SEE IS A CONTINUATION OF THE IBORI/ UDUAGHAN CABAL.
