AGAIN on last night I was told, Jay-you too tough on Lil Mike. You shelter him tooooo much. He growing into a man. Give him more room to breathe; make mistakes. You too over protective. . My son goes to college in a little over a year. He has maintained a 3.9 to 4.1 GPA for the last 3 years!! He has Division1s and 2s looking at him and its not because I was easy on him. I am a single mother. EVERYTHING is on me! I wish a book was written with specific instructions on how to raise a male child, but it isnt. Im doing the best I can..EVERY decision I make for my son or daughter is done with love! I love my kids! But if I can help my son avoid just HALF of the mess I went through, I am! Im only tough on him because I love him. I want him to have a waaay better life than me. And if I have anything to do with it, he absolutely will.
