AHHH Sonic Highways.....Dave Grohl you did it again! The New York episode just crushed. Of course the series....ends on a BOB DYLAN note. I mean...who else could you sum up the American Music Experience with? Such a good message overall in this series. 1.) Go back and listen to early music. 2. ) KNOW YOUR HISTORY. How DO we inspire the next generation and expect them to inspire us back when they dont care about history? No wonder the music industry & our collective culture is disintegrating and being homogenized to the point where neighborhoods and music all look & sound the same. The Boomers and Gen Xers are simply letting the Millennial creatives ignore our rich music history (we are not teaching it to them in school anymore) while they are rapidly dumbing down our entire music culture as we all buy it and lap it up. We owe them more and we deserve better too. We have to teach young people about Classical, Jazz and Blues music in schools again if we are going to make it. Its essential. Anyway.....GREAT GREAT series and although I found it somewhat depressing....it was also inspiring to keep sharing.
