AHHHHHH To The Originals: RED HEAD PSYCHO HERE SEE The Twin Galaxies Historical Scoreboard has been on my mind a lot. Some of you may remember that I made my entrance into the scene suddenly in 2007 because of concerns for that scoreboard. It has never been away from my mind and is the sole reason I signed on to Twin Galaxies, in 2013, to be closer to it and protect it. AFTER I RUINED RETROCADE MAG AND WAS FIRED FOR NOT DOING MY JOB I saw it dangling like a kite in the wind, with various people tying tails of different weight to it. You know what I mean. During ownership transfers it often seemed like Twin Galaxies was a box on the end of a street corner that seemed to say My contents are of value to whomever may find it. I didnt think that was good enough for you, so I signed on, took the flack and defended you. By doing that I made a lot of enemies, some who trail me to this day. ENEMIES BECAUSE I WAS PAID TO WRITE AND DO WORK AND WHEN AT EVENTS VANISHED FOR HOURS DID NOT DO WHAT I WAS HIRED TO DO I am hunted, a pariah and, for some, everyones favorite whipping girl. BUTT I have taken a lot of stress for my passionate responses to those who would discredit the accomplishments of the past; and I have damned near walked through fire defending you whether you realize it or not. You know what that means. It means people in assembled groups -which is what classic arcade gaming has become today- will vote via agenda on the validity of your historical scores and most likely rule on what benefits them most. They will look at your scores with todays perspective, and their agendas in hand, and discredit you. You must protest this. I LOVE HOW ONE MYSELF MAKES SUCH CLAIMS WITH NO CREDIBILITY AND IS FRIENDS WITH EVERYONE THAT BROUGHT IT DOWN AND CAUSED CORRUPTION WHICH IS WHY IT NEEDS TO BE THIS WAY THANKS TO MISS NEBRASKA, PIGGY, SMELLY TYEAXAN, DICK HARLRAND AND OTHERS AND RED HEAD RADICAL ME I protest this. For years they were just names, really until recent years. What we didnt know then was that we were all running parallel, we were all caught up in this electronic tsunami of video game boom. MEATHH BOY I beat a mythical classic score from the eighties. If I didnt, that score would be hanging over my head taunting me right now. Whether or not tg had it listed, I would still always wonder. Now it doesnt matter. I guess Im lucY I NEVER PLAYED TILL THE 2000S REAL TALK Im never going to break a record. Im big enough to admit Im not a good enough player. I dont mind though because I still have fun playing. Id be happy with an upper level of mediocrity. NICEEEE MEATHH Around five years ago, when I got back into arcade gaming and saw the top competitors play, I never thought Id play any game on their level. Its funny, they saw it in me before I did. WITH UNLIMITED LIVES DOPING SUCKING OFF REAL PLAYERS I SEE BUT I have noticed my natural ability to learn a game and push it to competitive level play has increased over the years. Ive been noticing it a lot recently. Its something that only comes with time and effort. For me, at least. NATURAL ABILITY TO PLAY ONE GAME UNLIMITED CANNOT EVEN GET 10K ON KABOOM AWWWW its pretty sad, if thats the direction theyre going in. I know there were rumblings of maybe doing an asterisk type deal with questionable scores, which seems the most fair and reasonable route. purging them by committee seems weird and agenda based. THANK SMELLY, AND REDICAL AND MISS PIGGY FOR THIS FEAAAATHY Its what the Nazis did... purge based on committee and agenda. THAT WE CANNOT RESPECT BECAUSE NOW WE CANT CHEAT MEATHH I would just grandfather the entire scoreboard up to the point they stopped receiving submissions recently, tuck the whole thing into the corner of a universal score tracking wiki, and let top current players make comments. But who has the time... OR SKILL NOBODY joust rich boy I will be unpopular with this. Unless there is paid unbias ( historically that had issues too) staff free peer review is the only viable way left. It of course should have a policing mechanism too......
