The Role: The Bloomberg AIM Product team is looking for a senior Team Lead Product Manager to oversee the direction and development of our middle and back office solutions. This position carries a high level of visibility and responsibility and will report directly to the global head of Product for AIM. Applicants should possess a deep body of knowledge and experience in how middle and back office operations and technology support investment, trading, compliance, risk and sales within a buy side firm, acquired from experience within a buy-side firm and/or from an operations outsourcer or solutions provider. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the financial markets, financial instruments, securities processing, global regulatory requirements, portfolio and fund accounting, the competitive landscape, technology architecture and achieving operational best practices for the buy-side. Main Duties and Responsibilities: -Dive the vision and execution for middle and back office portions of the system to achieve overall business objectives. -Oversee multiple Product Managers responsible for buy-side focused middle and back office systems, data warehousing and reporting. -Work closely with R&D to ensure that goals, projects and solutions are well aligned and on track to provide solutions to problems targeted. -Work closely with AIM front office product managers and other teams to ensure a robust and highly integrated overall platform. -Work closely with Marketing and Sales on rollout of new products and enhancements and implement overall strategy to further expand our franchise . -Understand market competition, needs, opportunities and best practices via client and industry relationships. Qualifications: -Proven and significant experience in overseeing product development and technology solutions from a business level and by working effectively with development teams to build and deliver world-class products to end users in the middle and back office. -10+ years of significant relevant experience in buy-side firms, outsourcers or solutions providers. -Deep body of knowledge and experience of middle and back office operations technology and how it supports investment, trading, compliance, risk and sales within a buy side firm. -While the scope is very broad, a qualified candidate will be expected to have deep experience in multiple of the following areas: -Post trade matching and settlement -Messaging & feeds -Reconciliation -Corporate actions processing -Pricing & valuation -Pportfolio accounting -Position financing -Cash management -Collateral & margin management -Stock loan -Fund accounting -Regulatory requirements & reporting -Tax -Proven experience managing, developing and growing effective teams. -Sound understanding of software development process, systems architecture, data modeling & normalization and project management -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Periodic domestic and international travel is required as part of this role.
