AIR POWER DEVOTIONAL Certain Death! 2 Samuel 12:14 reads, “Howbeit, because by this DEED thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to BLASPHEME, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely DIE.” There are certain actions that immediately trigger certain spiritual consequences. One such example is doing things that damage God’s reputation, and doing things that cause people to blaspheme the name of the Lord. When David had a child with another man’s wife, God said the child would surely die. David’s position as a king could not save him. Certain death is triggered when God’s name is blasphemed. LET’S BE MINDFUL NOT TO DAMAGE GOD’S REPUTATION SO THAT THE THINGS WE PRODUCE WILL LIVE!
