AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR THE VALLEYS OF SOUTHERN OREGON AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA THROUGH 10 AM THURSDAY The National Weather Service office in Medford, Oregon has issued an Air Stagnation Advisory due to declining air quality in the valleys of Southern Oregon and Northern California. A high pressure ridge over the area has created an inversion which will keep particulates trapped near the surface of the valleys through Monday at least. These particulates will lead to decreasing air quality through the time period. Air quality levels could reach unhealthy levels by the weekend. Those with sensitivities to poor air quality and with lung conditions such as Asthma or COPD are advised to limit outdoor activities. If air quality significantly worsens, those with sensitivities and lung conditions may want to avoid outdoor activities altogether. Locations included in this advisory area include, but are not limited to.....Medford, Ashland, Grants Pass, Ruch, Cave Junction, Canyonville, Roseburg, Sutherlin, Klamath Falls, Chemult. Lakeview, Yreka, and Montague.
