AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has announced to host the - TopicsExpress

AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has announced to host the biggest ever public meeting of Britains history for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Birmingham on November 15. Mr Majeed is in UK these days and many of his pictures and video clips reaching us from there narrate a sorry state of affairs. No doubt, young Zardari is the chairman of Mr Majeeds parent party, but he should not forget that he is the elected representative of an honourable nation and that honour and the decorum of his office should reign supreme. Most importantly, Mr Majeed has been voted to govern AJK and resolve the problems of its inhabitants, instead of spending (read wasting) his time in attending and organising political meetings of his parent party in Pakistan and abroad. He is away from the seat of his government for more than 25 days (precisely since October 6) and given his latest announcement it seems he will hardly return by November 15. Regrettably, we dont hear blunt and cogent criticism of awry and extravagant style of the government from the opposition, let alone the dormant civil society. Isnt it the high time to raise questions that whether or why the resource constrained state should bear the expenses of unnecessary political activities of its rulers????
