In Kinship system, there are two ways you trace your relations: by blood which is consanguinity and by marriage which is affinity. When you are married to a family, you become an automatic member of that family through affinity and that is why the woman no longer bears the name of her father. Those northerners supporting her are her direct relations by affinity and there support is to neutralize Southern Kaduna Your own is always your own. With the affiliation of Christianity and Islam in one person, there must be an inconsistency in taken a decision or a stand during proceedings in the Parliament. How can such a person defend a bill that is related to the final stop of the illicit killings in Southern Kaduna? Because, there must be several debates on who is faulty. In Hausa, it is said so so ne ama sonkai ya fi. Will she argue for her people through consanguinity or her people through affinity? When i read the script of the Southern Kaduna P.D.P elders urging the vice president to keep off Southern Kaduna politics, the question i asked was: dont they know that blood is thicker than water? A PLEA Southern Kaduna Elders, Elites, Intellectuals, Youths etc there is a need to re-visit the political calculation of Southern Kaduna.
