ALBUM: BREATHE IN, BREATHE OUT - 1998 Track #9 Title: - Goodbye, Farewell -- In February 1992, Larry Norman suffered a nine hour heart attack. It resulted in permanent heart damage, leading to frequent hospital visits in the years that followed. Norman had a defibrillator implanted which enabled him to perform occasional smaller concerts. In 1993 Larry wrote this song as a farewell to all his fans and friends. It became his signature song as each concert might be his last. This song has a beautiful lead guitar by Robert Riekerk of Beam - Almost a Mark Knopfler sound to it. On the album, Breathe In, Breathe Out, which is a rehearsal album with the Dutch group Beam for the 1998 European Tour - All songs were recorded live with no overdubs. Lots of starts and stops with chat during the songs. -------------------------- Beam consisted of: Hans Sigmond - Bass Guitar Gert Koudijs - Drums Robert Riekerk - Lead Guitar Tommy Riekerk - Rhythm Guitar Written by: Larry Norman -------------------------
