ALBUM REVIEW: "Salmon & Grits" Mixtape by Anthony SleepyEyez - TopicsExpress

ALBUM REVIEW: "Salmon & Grits" Mixtape by Anthony SleepyEyez Carter. I was so happy that I got this album. This album really tells the tales of a person that was once hurt by the church and hurt by so-called Christians that bounces back and learn that the real church is in the heart. I would say that his album is a GREAT example of "Street Gospel". This album could definitely minister to people from all walks of life. From the thugs that are looking for answers to the well-to-do that have the heart knowledge of God (or vice versa). I really liked the stories told of his personal life and his progression of his faith. It also talks about the issues that people face in this world from poverty to babymamadrama. I would call this Gospel Folk Rap. I was very impressed with the great mix and the creativity on this album. The mastering on the album is great. This is another project that makes me say that my hometown of Augusta, GA has great unsigned talent in music. Get a copy of this mixtape. You will not be disappointed.
