ALDERSHOT Town manager Andy Scott has been sacked in the wake of the Shots sixth defeat in seven games. Fans protested outside the ESS Stadium on Tuesday night after Aldershot slumped to their latest loss 1-0 to Kidderminster. And the club reportedly dismissed Scott and his assistant Terry Bullivant immediately following the game. The result leaves Aldershot Town 18th in the Conference, just six points clear of the relegation zone. A statement on the clubs website said: Following the club’s recent run of results, Aldershot Town have relieved manager Andy Scott and assistant Terry Bullivant of first-team duties for the remainder of their contracts. The club recognise and are grateful for Andy’s contribution to Aldershot Town FC through a very difficult period of relegation and administration, but have now taken this tough decision to safeguard the team’s immediate prospects in the Vanarama Conference. Until a permanent new manager can be appointed, club captain Chris Barker will take charge of the first-team, assisted by coach Matt Gray. The club hope that supporters will give their full backing to Chris, and will be unified behind a new manager in building a successful future for Aldershot Town.
