ALEC is not an Democratic institution. It is a Koch-brothers paid group of attorneys who counsel legislators on how to thwart the peoples will. It is a corporate fascist tool and, along with endemic unemployment and the growing gap between the rich and the poor, constitutes the greatest threat to our democracy. Its reach is nationwide taking in state and local legislators and most voters have no idea what they are looking at when their conservative legislators introduce their model legislation as legislative bills.
