ALERT: 5 die in separate incidents across Kashmir Valley Srinagar July 12: Five persons died and three others were injured in different mishaps across Kashmir Valley on Friday. A police spokesman in a statement issued to Global News Service said that a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01M/3328 rammed into an electric poll at Bandipora, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist Ghulam Mohiudin Ganie son of Abdul Rashid resident of Ganistan, Bandipora. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries. In another incident, the spokesman said a Tipper bearing registration number JK04B/7040 hit a pedestrian Ghulam Hassan Lone resident of Lathishah Sopore at Railway bridge Humhama, in the jurisdiction of Police Post Humhama, Budgam, resulting in his on spot death. Similarly, an Auto load carrier bearing registration number JK04A/4273 hit and injured Ghulam Mustafa Rather son of Baqir Rather resident of Agri Kalan at Agri Kalan, Magam, Budgam. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries, he said. In another incident, a 28-year-old, Reyaz Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Nabi Dar resident of Trigam, Shadipora was drowned when he slipped and fell into Power Canal at Rayil Gund, Ganderbal. The body of Reyaz was fished out and handed over to his relatives for last rites, he said. Meanwhile, a-5-year old boy lost his life when a tree fell on their Kothar in Kupwara. A tree fell on a Kothar last evening at Ring Payeen Machil, Kupwara, resulting in on spot death of five years old boy Shahid Ahmad Tantary son of Irshad Ahmad and injuries to three others. All the injured have been shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kupwara for treatment. Police have registered cases in all the incidents and taken further investigations, the spokesman added.....
