ALERT CAUTIONING UCB STUDENTS! Be aware of your business choices! Joshuya Brassiere Sushi restaurant is currently partaking in illegal and unfair business/labor practices and is mistreating its workers. Workers are being ilegally penny pinched by being asked to do work off the clock, workers are not being given paid breaks which is also illegal, workers are not being given over time pay and are being fired for raising concerns. As you know, filing formal complaints takes a long time and is very hard for a person trying to make ends meat. I am an employee there at the moment and wanted to spread the word to my peers so that we may work together to hold our local business owners accountable. I may get fired for his but its worth it sticking up for others. Its also worth it to show my peers there is no need to be afraid standing up against what is wrong. Spread the word to your peers to hold this business accountable and to make a difference by raising awareness. Food tastes better when those who are serving you are being treated fairly and appropriately rather than being exploited.
