ALERT: Dont try this at home! For those of you who know Danny and I fairly well, this type of story would typically come from Danny.....however this is my story! And believe me, if I hadnt witnessed it for myself I wouldnt believe my own story - it is that good! Ok - so, I have a bad habit of propping our front door open 5-6 inches to let a nice breeze in (I know, I know....not the smartest idea ever)! The door had been open a few hours, I had been outside mowing lawn, and I came in to take a little break! I sat down on the couch with my laptop, when I heard a scratching type noise from the general area of the door! I thought to myself, what is that a bird trying to get in! I got up to see what was going on when a decent size, grey animal emerged through the small opening in the door! I thought oh my goodness, a rabbit made its way in......OH NO! Was I SO wrong!!!! So...next I grab my phone and burst outside to call my father-in-law to come to the rescue! I stood on the picnic table outside so I could keep watch of the door, while I waited for him to get here! Those were the longest 7 minutes ever! All I could do was imagine the mess it could potentially be making!! Dan arrived and we went in to see what we were in for! It took us a few minutes to confirm the animal was still in that same vicinity! Once confirmed, we needed a way to block the entrance off from the rest of the house so it couldnt come in any farther! We put some pieces of sheetrock up on both sides! After maneuvering the two ceiling fan boxes, the animal slowly started to make its way towards the door! First effort, it pushed the door shut! Ugh.....got the door opened back up and with broom in hand, we were able to push it out the door!!!!! So....you might ask what animal was it?....we considered three options before knowing for sure.....1) opossum; 2) hedgehog or 3) woodchuck! Start your guesses now! I will reveal the answer a little later on!!!!
