ALERT: This afternoon I was approached at a traffic light by 3 men in another vehicle. They asked for me to roll down my window. When I did, they offered to take care of the deep scratches in the sides of my truck. They followed me to Sams Club on 83rd Ave. where they assured me the truck would look brand new when I came out from shopping. Sure enough they were done even before I was finished at the checkout. I got to my truck and it was covered with some filmy substance and a very smeared white paste on the deeper scratches. I told them it did not look new nor did I believe the film would wash off. They emphatically reassured me that it would look beautiful when washed THE NEXT DAY! They said the clay bar had to set overnight in order to work. It turned out the clay bar was nothing more than DOVE SOAP. I then explained to them I would not pay them until I had it washed so they followed me to Dannys Car Wash where my wife, Stacey N Natalie Wiley, quickly called Peoria Police Dept. The officers showed up in a few minutes and coaxed the truth from the men. They had simply put Turtle Wax on my truck and wanted to charge me $200 for it. LOL, it didnt take long for those guys to beat it down the road to a more vulnerable victim. Sorry for the book, just wanted to try to save someone else from the hassle.
