Kenya maybe tolerating open air militants sympathizers recruitment through the free to air television broadcasts of terrorists supremacy and military performance at WESTAGATE MALL during their terrorist and cowardly activities. While media freedom is an important aspect of civil rights and modern democracy, iris foolhardy and irresponsible journalism to expose weaknesses in security operations besides give coverage of terrorists good values during the operations. This is a direct recruitment of sympathizers for Al-Shabaab militants. A critical analysis of responses to the expose on Kenya military activities in the WESTGATE MALL shows a bias on the terrorists values by tiny volumes of Kenyans on social media. Kenya national security council must be well informed about these violations on national security. These media exposes not only go further to expose and endanger security personnel rather weakens the much needed public support for security operations and institutions. It is paramount to embrace the fact that we need a country that supports and believes in its own security apparatus. We should desist from giving enemies of the state airtime / coverage making them popular while at the same time demonizing our defense forces who are the defenders of our cities, women and children. Kenya Media must engage in responsible and distinctive journalism.
