ALL ABOUT GIVING HIM YOUR NUMBER ============================== ========== Asking for your number is a dating game tradition! When you meet a great new single guy, and you sense a spark between you, then the next logical thing for him to do is to ask for your number, so he can ask you out on a later date. Theres just one problem with giving him your mobile number - it puts you at his mercy. Youll feel compelled to pick up when he calls you, even if youre busy or occupied. In other words, you have to go out of your way for him - and its a little too early for that! Thats why I always suggest that instead of giving your mobile number, give him your e-mail or Facebook name. That way you can decide to approve his friend request or not, reply to his messages at your convenience, and even unfriend him if he turns out to be a jerk. Giving your e-mail or Facebook name also makes you a little bit more attractive. Instead of being at his mercy, you stay in control. And whats more, you put him in chase mode... and when hes in chase mode, it brings out all sorts of good and wonderful traits in him. Its a win-win situation! WHAT IF HE ALREADY KNOWS YOUR MOBILE NUMBER? ============================== === If youve already given him your mobile number, dont worry. You can still be in control! Just live your life the way you used to, and dont go out of your way to answer his calls. Remember, youre a busy woman, and your job currently takes priority over your dating life! Thats the main danger of giving him your mobile number - you might find yourself going out of your way to accommodate him. And that puts HIM in control, which is dangerous early on in the dating stage. So let me say that again - dont go out of your way to answer his calls. Let his calls go to voice mail or text if you have to. And when he DOES call, make sure to keep the call short - 5-10 minutes is plenty. It might help to keep track of time if you stare at a clock while youre talking to him. Remember, your calls shouldnt be long chats! The purpose of his call should be to ask you out or schedule a meet up if youre in the same area. The long chat can wait until the coffee date! Of course, that doesnt mean you cant safely make him fall in love with you over the phone..
