ALL CERAMIC VENEERS ….. a premium two day hands-on workshop The greater general awareness for dental aesthetics makes it essential for today’s dental practitioner to upgrade his knowledge, hone his skills and master the latest techniques. The ceramic laminate veneer has become synonymous with aesthetic restorative dentistry. The adhesive ceramic technology used for porcelain veneers has revolutionized restorative dentistry providing the ultimate in esthetic restorations at minimum sacrifice of tooth structure. Bonded porcelain veneers were initially considered as treatment options for simple cosmetic corrections. However despite the early skepticism they have since emerged as one of the most successful and conservative treatment modalities for both aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry. Failures, types, causes and fixes Demonstration and Hands On Sessions Participants will be provided with a gypsum model with teeth numbers 12,11,21,22 On models the following will be performed: • Analyze and evaluate the case for a smile design and relate it to the diagnostic wax up • Construction of preparation guides and stents • Creation of the trial smile. • Tooth preparation for ceramic laminate in for the following clinical situations: • Standard labial prep • Elimination of an overlap • Diastema closure • Prep on a Peg lateral • Impression taking and tissue management • Fabrication of a temporary veneers using Rapid Temporary Fabrication technique Faculty: Dr. Saiesha Mistry Academic Background Graduated from the Govt. Dental College and Hosp, Bombay in 1991. Recipient of many University and I DA awards in Conservative Dentistry and Community Dentistry. Completed her Masters in Conservative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital, London in 1994. Has done the Brannemark course in Surgical and Prosthetic aspects of Implant Dentistry. Obtained a Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry from New York University in 2003 Awards and Achievements Been in private practice since 1995, which is largely limited to Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. Lectures extensively on aesthetic and restorative dentistry both in India and abroad and conducts workshops and courses in various aspects of Dentistry. Published articles in various journals and newsletters.
