I know you will do yourselves and the club immensely proud. In case you hadnt NOTICED, its very HOT!! And is likely to be hot tomorrow. At the risk of nannying or sounding condescending, can I recommend the following:- Bring and drink lots of the RIGHT kind of fluids! Energy drinks with CAFFEINE and drinks with high sugar levels are NOT good in heat, although Sports drinks do contain suitable replacement minerals. Water, water and MORE water is ideal! It is important to drink as much as you can in such heat, regularly, even when youre NOT thirsty. Also, avoid high Protein foods and large meals/snacks as they increase metabolism and thus body heat. Eat little, and often. Even if youre NOT competing tomorrow, it would be great if you can get along to the Medway Sports Centre in Gillingham and cheer our boys and girls on. Its a fantastic experience and a great chance to meet like-minded Martial Artists from all over the Country. Finally, a huge thumbs up to Kigen Richard Canton, competing for SIX trophies, as well as competing to retain the prestigious NAS Champion of Champions; all with a broken FOOT.....proving without doubt, our mantra of Spirit, Dedication and FUN!!
