ALL EYES…ON CAB! Last week, our batch met at MR.DONUT - TopicsExpress

ALL EYES…ON CAB! Last week, our batch met at MR.DONUT Greenhills before heading to our destination. It was filled with at least 3 different corners of “Meranaw Discussants”. Understandably, because it was just a few days after the historical CAB signing, the discussions were all central to CAB ---their hopes, apprehensions. It was obvious that because some knew me, they have either tone down their arguments and voices OR have made it even louder for some reasons including sending a message that, “you see, I am a PRO-CAB!” I don’t eavesdrop. But God gives me this “extra-sense of hearing” that I could actually hear discussions around me. Key issues to their discussions are “power and resources”. “Antonaa I khasowa o moontod a ____. Bangka baden zegnata?” “Antonaa I miyasowa o permanent sa galebek, phakaawaaneka?” “Aya kapiya angka a comprehensive na so da mamakanggalebek na makapenggalebek.” “Sobo aki so khakowa a pamirak sa AGUS na pira peman…?” God knows, I am tempted to turn around and tell everyone, “We can actually make this a forum!” if only to facilitate understanding. I remember my discussion with 2 arikolays when I told them that as early as now, we should address expectations. One way of doing it is to open-up other avenues for opportunities like the agribusiness! I can still remember how one reacted with these words, “miyakapiya mambo oba so andang a farmer na ka-farmer bo a khaorianon?” I argued however that a certain farmer is probably not happy because all that he produces is for their consumption. Not to mention the system of KAPANGANGKAT that further causes their indebtedness. We should capacitate them to go beyond food security in the home, but to venture into massive and strategic production for marketing. The HALAL Business is just there. What CAB has done and can still do is to provide that environment of security for people to now focus on their livelihoods as compared to before where their lives have been in utmost instability as a result of recurrence of war and displacements. Besides, what is wrong with farming? But if given the chance to talk to these GH gentlemen at that time, I will them that: OMANI ISA NA TORDOWA NIYAN BADEN SO KAWIYAGAN NIYAN SAYA. AYA MIYA-ARAP TANO SA CAB NA KIYAPAGADATAN IMANTO SO MGA LAGID TANO. OGAID NA MAPHAKI-ILAY TANO MAMBO SO KABILANGATAW TANO. AYA MALA, NA SABAP SA IMANTO NA KHALEKAAN REKETANO SO KHISOMPATEN SA MGA PED A INGED KO KAPANGAWIYAGAN, NA MIYATAMPAR KANO A MANGA PADAGANG REKETANO, KA KENABA MATAG SEKANO I MAPAPARO, KA SEKANO PEN I MATAO KO GALEBEK. Indeed, equally important is to continue the information drive on making us understand the CAB and facilitating discussions and thinking that goes out-of-the-box!
