No. 0761-2661538 Mob: 9425156535 E-mail : premkumarmalhotra@gmail ______________________________________________________________________ Circular No.9/2014 Date :-10-8-2014 TO ALL PENSIONERS & RETIREES Dear Friends, MEETING OF AIBPARC HELD ON 27 th JULY , 2014 All India Bank Pensioners’ & Retirees’ Confederation ( AIBPARC – a unit of AIBOC ) met at Trivandrum on 27 th July 2014 and developments of its Managing Committee meeting are summarised as follows : - _ Govt. is agreeable to revise/update Pension on 4 conditions, viz., Updation will be granted once in 10 years; Pension will be calculated on Basic Pay & Grade Pay without other components; All perks will be “rationalised”; Wage revision once in 10 years instead of 5 years. This offer has been rejected by UFBU and AIBPARC supports UFBU. _ AIBOC had a dialogue with IBA on issues pertaining to Officer Employees’ Discipline & Appeal Regulations (1976) for permission for retired officers to defend their retired colleagues. Development is awaited. _ Bihar State Committee of AIBPARC formed. _ 1st General Council Meeting of Dena Bank Pensioners & Retirees Federation took place in Mumbai. _ 1st Triennial Conference of PNB Pensioners Assoc. (MP & CG – Unit Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Raipur ) held at Jabalpur. Sh.Ashis Sen & Sh.P.K.Malhotra were elected as State President & Secrectary, respectively. _ 9 th Biennial Conference of Canara Bank Retired Officers Assoc. took place at Chennai. _ Allahabad Bank Pensioners & Retirees Association, West Bengal Unit successfully organized a massively attended meeting in Kolkata. _ Karnatak State organized a general meeeting in Benglaru which was attended and addressed by S/Shri K.V.Acharya, Shanta Raju, G.D.Nadaf & Y.Sudarshan. _ A.P.State Committees organized different meetings of Retirees at Hyderabad, Vijaywada etc. _ PNB Reid Officers Association, Kerala Unit held its Conference at Calicut. _ United Bank Retired Officers Association held different meetings at District Headquarters in the state of West Bengal. _ Since IBA was playing with the issue of multiplicity of unions among retirees, a joint Memorandum of Charter of Demands was finalised & submitted to IBA by AIBPARC, AIBRF & Federation of SBI pensioners Association. AIBPARC made its stand clear that we are agreeable to continue as it is in a Co-ordination Committee and not anything beyond it. _ Sh. Raghav Rao and delegation met Ms. Nirmala Sitaraman, Union Banking Minister of State for Finance at Hyderabad and requested her to consider the Charter of Demands of the retirees, with sympathy. _ Letter by AIBPARC has been addressed to Shri Arun Jaitley, Hon’ble Finance Minister for consideration of the Charter of demands of Pensioners & Retirees elaborating the demands and how pensioners are being deprived of them in the Banking Industry. _ Regarding the progress of discussions with IBA, circulated vide Cir.No.8/14 dated 15th June 2014, further action points were discussed. All India PNB Pensioners & Retirees Association, affiliated to AIPNBOA, will be convening its First Convention/ Conference on 12 th October, 2014 at Jabalpur. This has been decided in consultation & approval of Shri Dilip Saha, General Secretary of AIPNBOA. Details will be communicated later. O B I T U A R Y We express heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of Late Shri P.S.L.M Hargaopal, ex President of AIPNBOA and a leader dedicated to the cause of Bank retirees.
