ALL IS NOW SET TO WIN BACK OUR LOST GLORY My people, Merry - TopicsExpress

ALL IS NOW SET TO WIN BACK OUR LOST GLORY My people, Merry Christmas and a very happy new year to you all. Our new year will certainly be a happy one, as the stage is now set to win back all the years the locusts have eaten from us through selfish and purposeless leadership. I can confirm to you that, following the final resolution of the completely unnecessary controversy generated by the just concluded primaries of our great party, the APC, my name and nomination forms have finally been submitted to INEC as the candidate of our party for the Senatorial contest in Benue South Senatorial District. I wish to thank the State and Zonal leadeship of our party for standing firmly by me all through the difficult days, in spite of provocations and insolence by my youger brother and co-contestant, who apparently took things rather too far, as this was always about the liberation of our people and provision of quality leadership across our land, and should never have degerated to the do or die affair that it was almost made to become. As we forge ahead with confidence in the days and weeks ahead before the elections, I assure you that we will be fair and issue based all through, and that we will raise the discourse above the mundane in our quest to chart a new course for total development of our land. I sincerely hope that the incumbent in the office will also do the same, and see our aspiration for what it truly is: A desire to provide that much needed breath of fresh air that our people have longed for all these years! I am prepared to participate in an open dialogue with the incumbent in that office, in a townhall meeting with a cross section of our electorate, moderated by the Idoma National Forum, the Idoma People of Nigeria, and similar well meaning bodies of our people, to discuss the issues most pressing to our people, and proffer genuine solutions, with the aim of bringing out the very best for our people through the political process. I am optimistic that the Senate President will demonstrate sufficent passion for the issues bothering our people to accept to participate in such a forum as soon as practicable, as the election days are upon us. I volunteer to contribute substantially towards a live broadcast of such an event on National Radio and Television if the organizers choose to have it that way. I thank you all for your unflinching support and understanding thoughout the recent difficult days, and I assure you that your patience with the process and your confidennce in my candidature will soon be resoundingly rewarded! Best wishes always, Chief Madaki Omadachi Ameh
