ALL RED AND READY FOR SANTA Dont mind telling ya, Im one proud dad. But before I go any further, you must promise you wont tell my daughter. I want her to be surprised when she sees it. Now those who know me very well, dang sure know its not like me to get in too big of a hurry ushering in Christmas and all, but the spirit bit me this afternoon. Hannahs already been harping. I had about three things going all at once, and I was nearly mentally overloaded to the point of being flustered. I decided to wash my bed sheets. While I had that going, I was working on a slow bathtub drain, pouring money down a rat hole, it seemed. And I had bought me a new pillow, and I was reading about the three-year warranty on that beauty. You just got to love Wal-Mart when it comes to buying fine-quality merchandise. So I goes and gets the sheets out of the dryer and back on the bed. I gets my Huge pillow stuffed in the pillowcase, and I starts to put the comforter back on the bed when I decides to go all out and flip that reversible showpiece to its other side. And it happened just that quick. In one swell swoop I had done turned that piece of cotton from navy blue to Christmas red. Just that quick, I had my interior decorating all done for Christmas. Ive never been so efficient. For the outside this year, Im thinking Ill strang white lights on the pecan tree. No red light district around the majestic lady. Now remember, Ive got you sworn to secrecy. Dont be spoiling it for Hannah now. Shhh! Im heading to bed now. I just love freshly laundered sheets and a new pillow and Christmas red comforters. Im so proud.
