ALL of our elected DC politicians just keep kicking the deficit and debt cans down the road....just like in Detroit and other places too numerous to mention....acting like the crows will not come home to roost and the debt collector will not come knocking. Really dealing seriously and soberly with budget issues and tackling the fiscal insanity in Washington head on is hard, hard work....because money is the power to stay in office especially when it is thrown the way of constituents....and apparently there is no will in our national capitol to work hard and long. Rather meet in the back room and smoke cigars and pat each other on the back. The interest rates will surely rise and when they do, we will be paying trillions of dollars in the coming months and years in just the interest....and just what will the taxpayer get out of throwing good money down the toilet. There is so much waste and corruption connected to government spending...that a sixth grader could cut the budget and do a good job. But we have to remember that the ever cerebral Nancy Pelosi said that the cupboard was bare and there was just no place to cut. Need a balanced budget amendment....badly....because it is obvious that our politicians are not nearly as interested in getting our fiscal house in order as the American grassroots!!!
