ALLEGATIONS FOUND ‘UNSUBSTANTIATED’ BY THE CARE QUALITY COMMISSION Anonymous allegations brought against Heathlands Village Care Home (run by the Federation Of Jewish Services in Manchester) were found unsubstantiated following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission. The Care Quality Commission’s decisions were concluded in February 2014 following consultations with a Mrs Karen Johnson the registered responsible manager. The Care Quality Commission had been informed at the time that Karen Johnson had previously given false testimony to an Employment Tribunal in favour of the home regarding circumstances surrounding an allegation of abuse and matters related to documentation. These latest allegations are unconnected with the ‘Justice For Janette’ campaign. At least two members of staff I have spoken to were aware of the Care Quality Commissions impending unannounced (sic) inspection. Following the delivery of a full detailed report concerning Mrs Karen Johnson’s professional integrity the Care Quality Commission blocked Billy Hollingshead and the ‘Justice For Janette’ campaign from their Facebook page. They refuse not only to examine the documented evidence but also refuse to disclose the source of the false information they choose to rely upon. They finally dismissed the matters out of hand declaring them ‘outside their remit’ When the integrity of managers the CQC speak to during inspections is of no concern then the integrity of their very inspections becomes a matter of great concern.
