ALMAJIRI? What sort of practice is this? Sending out LITTLE children without food, clothes, without nothing? In the name of seeking what they called Islamic knowledge? Turn them into street beggers, street hawkers, grow up without parental care, they have no joy of how having parents look like, growing up to be area boys and drug addicts, for goodness sake, what the hell is all of this? How will one has the brain to learn the Quran when he wake up hungry, begging for food, hawking in the afternoon and sleep tiredlessly at night, which time do they really have to learn? I met one of their mallams last time in Borno, he was telling me, its part of Islam and yet he cant provide Quranic verses or ahadith to back up His claim, i asked him, if at all this part of Islam, how many times have you travelled to saudi arabia? And how many times do you met their children holding plates begging for food@airport? He was mute! Those children are simply orphans with living parents!
