ALMERIA & MURCIA WEATHER UPDATE Sunday 16th March 2014: An extremely good day to you all in Granada Province!!!.......Do you know what the hottest temperature ever recorded in Spain is???.......well let me tell you!!!.......There are a number of official figures of around 47ºC, including at Écija , also known as the sartén or frying pan of Andalucia in the province of Seville, with 47.0ºC recorded in 1959 and again in 1967, and Seville itself in 1946.........thats double the current temperatures we are seeing across the region at this time and, if ever you were to experience such high temperatures, great weather for baking your cakes in the courtyard!!!........Mind you, we are looking good again today on the sun front so break out those BBQs.......but not before getting those outdoor chores done like cleaning the terrace or balcony, weeding that garden or flower trough, and if youve got one, give that pool a clean and start the filtration on it and give it that chlorine shock to bring it back to life or, if your already on it, increase that filtration and start its chlorination ready for the Easter Weekend........with all this heat around your likely to get an algae bloom if you ignore your pool......Today, tomorrow and possibly Tuesday we are looking at great weather with the rest of the week, through to Friday at least, still looking good. There is, on the satellite image, a chunk of cloud moving south down the coat of the Murcia Region and unless it burns off, it will continue down into Almeria and along its coastline.......Now dont panic! Its not very wide and will pass over in no time if your under it!!!.....We are anticipating cloud starting to move in as of Tuesday in some areas such particularly inland, with thicker cover rising as of Wednesday through Friday. The sun should remain well and truly present though but AEMET, the Spanish National Weather Service, is forecasting increase chance of rain with the cloud cover Wednesday onwards!!!.......As always, we will know more as the week progresses. The cloud cover is to be coming from the Atlantic and will cause those temperatures to cool slightly. I am still keeping an eye on the medium range weather models for towards the end of the week after and we may be in for some worth while rain but because our weather patterns are misbehaving, that could all change!!!........FIRE!!!........That woke you up!!!.......got to keep pressing this message home Im afraid as I would hate to think we are all relaxing in the sun, but, do watch out for wild fire. The statistics show that around 80% of fires in the campo are started deliberately. Every year there are people killed in Spain from wild fire and today we start to see areas of Spain on Extreme risk of wild fire, albeit up in the north of the country. Do yourself and us all a favour and stay tuned to this group.......post up anything fire, or come to that, weather related and drag you friends or anybody else you know onto the group!!!.........Have a great day you all and dont forget to check out Mijas TV (Malaga) on Tuesday Evening on the web........Our very own M, Jill Leonard, is to appear on it to talk about the LFWW network and she is going to be on with one of those Chippendale male model/dancer types just to give you ladies a treat!!!.........Jim Fraser for LFWW Network working out in the gym!!!
