ALMOND MILK LOVE: 1 cup raw almonds 3 cups filter water 4 pitted medjool dates 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp cinnamon pinch of sea salt soak almonds anywhere from 8-12 hours. rinse and drain almonds place in a blender with the filter water, pitted dates, and vanilla blend on the highest your blend will go for 1 min grab a big bowl and a milk nut bag/sprouter bag pour blended mixture in the bag over the bowl... squeeze the bag so all the liquid drains out. the bag catches the almond pulp. rinse out the blender and pour the almond milk from the bowl back into the blender. add salt and cinnamon. blend on low just a few moments. then pour into a glass gar. it keeps up to 3-5 days. ****if you can get ahold of a vanilla bean.. USE IT! so replace the vanilla extract if you can with one whole vanilla bean! i have a vitamix so this makes things easier. if you have a regular blender you may need to soak almonds longer. i didnt buy a milk nut bag/sprouter bag... i used a hemp bag that i had laying around. i also heard you could use cheese cloth but it is WAYYYY easier with a bag. you can use the pulp for all sorts of things. mix it in oatmeal, smoothies, etc... be careful not to add too much water... made that mistake the first round... so i had water down almond milk for a few days! i got my filter water, dates, & unsalted raw almonds from River City Food Co-Op. let me know how it goes!!! youll find what works for you! if you have any questions let me know!!
