ALOLA’S EDUCATION TEAM MET WITH GIRLS EDUCATION AWARD On this thurday (12/11) Alola Education program conducted a meetings with Girls Education Award from University level at Fundasaun Alola. This meeting itself was held for updates on their progress of learning activities and problems faced by the grantee. In 2014, Alola Education program continued to focus on the Girls Education Award, enabling young women facing barriers to complete their three years at secondary school. With the support from several individual donors, Alola continues to maintain its support to students from primary school through to university. Alola will continue this support so that students can graduate. The main objective of the Scholarship Program is to assist students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to complete their secondary education. From existing data, 75% from 400 scholarships provided to rural girls based on standard criteria
