Feel free to share this video, or any other pictures or videos on our timeline. Alpha Dog Training is back for 2014, but I thought that I would post a short video showing the fun we had on the last session of 2013. It was a very busy night with a great turn-out for Alpha Dog Training’s last session for 2013. The motorbike was used in both sessions and all the dogs, from puppies to advanced, handled the extra distraction really well. I will post another video showing the motorbike distraction from the last two sessions of 2013 next week. 2014 is looking to be an exciting year for Alpha and we have a few ideas for some extra large group participation exercises that will take hustle and bustle distraction to another level. ABOUT ALPHAS METHODS: The Alpha Canine Group has developed reward-based methods that include a contrasting correction process that clearly teaches the dogs the difference between acceptable and unacceptable obedience responses, and acceptable and unacceptable behaviours - all under realistic levels of distraction. This is achieved by focusing on the positive aspect of the correction process where Good Boy/Girl becomes the most powerful reinforcer in the communication with our dogs. With the Alpha developed principle of Canine Cognitive Tonal Conditioning (CCTC), praise is taken well beyond its traditional use in the learning process applied by food reward methods. All aspects of Alphas training methods are fully explained and demonstrated in our free first session and tour held twice weekly at Alpha Dog Training.
