ALRIGHT already, sheesh, you folks are relentless. Now then, we all know records have been around, or their predecessor, the “recording” forever…MUSIC, has been recorded, and played over and over again, since the first “gramophones”. WHICH, by the way, I had a chance to actually see one, just the other night at a friend’s house. HOWEVER, do you know the day the “music CHANGED”? August 1, 1981, an upstart music channel on Cable TV began a run that continues to this day…do you know the first tune, EVER played on MTV? (Rick Manzoni does and posted it down below. NOW THEN, the music video, a novel creation at the time, indeed changed the way WE view music today. AND, buried in that little factoid, comes today’s THEME o DAY. Hee hee hee…NOT SO FAST! YOU just tried to look up your favorite music video, HOWEVER, the judges and I have inserted a “TWIST” into this one of which even our revered mentor and creator, Rick Maselli would be proud… THE THEME o DAY, is in fact “the music video”, HOWEVER, any music video you post, MUST TELL A STORY, not just be your favorite group performing live, or a tune being performed. Let me show you what I mean with my first two entries, two of my favorites by the way. IT MUST BE, a condensed “MOVIE” as it were…There are thousands of these little jewels out there, so good luck…THIS one you might have to actually do some leg work…HEE HEE HEE. The judges are just SO PROUD of themselves.
