ALS ADVOCACY & HOW YOU CAN HELP! We need your help to build support for the Engel-King Dear Colleague letter that calls on the Appropriations Committee to continue funding for the Registry. Last year, nearly 50 Members of Congress signed a similar letter. As of today, only a fraction of that number have signed-on. Therefore, we need your help. Please contact your Representative TODAY! A sample email which you can personalize and send can be found in the Advocacy Action Center of our website, capwiz/alsa/home/. Please contact Congress and ask your friends and family to do so as well so that their voices also are heard on Capitol Hill. Your action will help ensure that the Registry can continue to advance ALS research, such as these important projects. Your action can help us answer the question so many people with ALS have: Why me? The Registry was created to find that answer and through your efforts to contact Congress, we can continue to advance the search for the cause of a ALS and a way to treat it.
