ALS.... Lou Gehrigs disease robs people of everything but their minds..... Ive seen young mothers, athletes, young fathers, turned into prisoners in their own bodies. Ive seen people use only their eyes to painstakingly type words to be electronically played like this gentleman did. Most of my patients have chosen not to go onto artificial respirators/ventilators as they would only remain prisoners in their bodies. They lose the ability to speak, swallow, hug, scratch an itch on their nose,unable to have a bowel movement unassisted, walk, smile, and eventually breathe. I wanted to pass on Davids message to all of you. Thanks for taking the time to read this and watch this video. Gina
